Birthday Fireworks

For the 24th of July/ my birthday we still hung out with Amber, Hunter, Megan, Dad V., Mom V, Natalie, Chad, Sakura, Seth, and our doggies! We did some pioneer events for the kids... and I ate delicious french toast that my husband made me and brought me in bed. He also got me chocolates from Sees!
We had quite an event in the evening with Jay making me curry. Then we had a rainbow cake and opened presents. I got some nice things from loving family :) I also got other things including a big crock pot on Sunday from my mom (the celebration with my parents will actually be when we're in Yellowstone in a few days).
After the cake and presents the kids went out to the tents they had set up in the back yard (Jay helped the girls with lots of instructions, but he made the 6 and 5 year olds do it themselves) and Dad V. got the fire pit out, which he helped Hunter start a fire in with flint and steel. Then we roasted marshmallows, made smores, watched the neighborhood fireworks, jumped on the trampoline... and had a great time :)
Jay has grown this sunflower from a seed. He actually grew 3, lovingly... and then the dogs ate 2 of them.
In fact, today Megan brought Jay a flower she made out of paper, a yellow one. Jay thought for a moment that she'd picked his sunflower ...and then he saw it was paper. Good job Megan for making a lifelike flower.

Megan and Sakura (and beneath Sakura is Rainbow Brite)

Stacking! It's Jay, Megan and Seth

They love the bean bags... and that's Seth's camera face because he loves to say "cheese" for the camera.
Funny, since if he wants to eat a cheese stick, he never says "cheese." He just cries by the fridge.

Great picture. 'Nuff said.

Happy Brithday, Me!

Mmmmmm.... smores

Ready for toasting!
