Halloween 2016 Momotaro

For October 31 we met with my brother Jared and his 3 kids and my sister Lisa and her 4 kids and had a big group to trick or treat. It was fun, but we only did 2 streets because herding that many small kids plus all of mine and Jay's costume pieces and Little Foot and carrying a baby was exhausting. We had a very nice time. There weren't very many trick or treaters that night. When Jay and I exited our car, one man told us how good we looked and that we should come to his house. We told him we'd be along once we went to my brother's and got Theo's cousins. We got in and Tammy told us that she hadn't had 1 trick or treater yet, and it was 6:30 p.m.

Jared's neighbors were very generous, giving out handfuls of candy. Erik said that his arm was getting tired from carrying his pumpkin!

On Halloween we went to Target. At one point Theo was refusing to be in the cart and squirming so much in my arms as I looked at an item, I finally just put him down. He then proceeded to walk, pushing the cart by himself. He loved it and it was so cute!

I left his pants off because I was afraid he'd be hot with those long sleeves.

Jay made the happi coat, sword belt, and sword for our samurai dog.

I made my wings from knits and performance knits. Theo took a long nap one day and I managed to cut and sew them.

Halloween 2015: I never did put this photo on the blog. It was only a cell phone picture and I think it's the only photo we have of our costumes last year.
