Mother's Day Video

Have you ever seen those cute surveys for Mother's Day where they ask kids questions about their mom? I thought I would take a video of him and it would be great. Instead, I got a bunch of video footage of him saying, "I don't know," over and over. It's his favorite thing to say. I eventually followed him around with the camera and then inexpertly edited some clips together.

Part of the way through I asked him about the alphabet and he liked that a lot. A lot of his answers are from a book series about animals that start with every letter of the alphabet. My favorite is, "K is for Kylie Kangaroo's Karate Kickers!"

Other cute things he said recently:
Mommy, what's that?"
"It's my collar bone."
"Oh, a bone, but not a dinosaur bone."

Theo picked out trail mix for a snack
"I need more!"
"You still have some."
"I need the colorful nuts!"
"Those are M&Ms. You can't just eat the M&Ms."

Theo has played a lot of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom recently. It's based on a book/YouTube video animation where the little letters climb up the coconut tree, then the tree bends over with the weight and all the letters fall down. Then the big letters comfort the little letters and pick them up. Anyway, he chanted the first half of this next to a palm tree and then became very disappointed a refused to continue.

But that was from over a week ago. His new thing: William Wegman's Alphabet Soup with Fay the Dog. We got this DVD from the library where the giant dogs make letters with their bodies. After that they dress up in chef hats and make alphabet soup. Theo goes around the house finding things that start with each letter to make his own alphabet soup. It is his new thing.
