Desert Museum

Theo loves the phrase, "Theo do it!" He has tried to put on jammies, wash dishes, and help make dinner.

Theo had his 2 year well child check. He was 50th percentile for his weight and head size, but his height was 65th percentile, so he is a little taller than average. One day he'll be taller than his parents.

Theo continues to be funny. When we read The Cat in the Hat and we get to the part, "so we had to shake hands with thing 1 and thing 2," Theo holds up his hands, clenched in fists, and shakes them. I think it's so cute that I don't correct him.

After the dough had risen I was trying to roll out very sticky dough (it needed some more flour). Theo again pushed a chair up and then just watched. He started saying, "Roll it, and pat it, and mark it with a B, and throw it in the oven for baby and me." (Most of the rhyme Pat a Cake).

He has just started to chant more rhymes and songs and it's amazing the things that he learned from repeated readings from awhile ago that only now he is able to chant.

Today we went to the Desert Museum with my parents. Theo liked the animals best and was a bit afraid in the cave. Theo picked out his own outfit again. Again, just like when we went to the zoo, he picked out a shirt with a monkey on it. We didn't see monkeys, but we saw javelina, a coyote, some wild cats, and otter, birds, and fish.

Last night I came into Theo's room and he said, "Snuggle doggie," and was laying down next to Little Foot. I'm glad they like -- or tolerate -- each other.
He saw me making pizza crust and so pushed up a chair to help. For some reason the flour got everywhere.

These are not delicious gummies, but 3D printed dwarves.

It's still warm here in AZ. Theo helps Daddy too.

When the scrubbing of the car was finished, Theo wanted to continue helping, so I convinced him to wash his push toy instead.

I think this may be the first time Theo ever sat in our '94 pickup

A Desert Museum employee is showing Theo and my mom the parrot.

Inside a cave display (which is why the picture is fuzzy) the have ears to try on. If a bat were human sized, this would be the bat's ear size.

Theo really loved the fish displays. They may have been his favorite.

Jay and my dad carrying the stroller up some stairs. Theo got royal treatment

Theo has been really into coloring recently. He borrowed a paint with water type toy called a "Water Wow" from a friend and ever since then he has gotten more crayon or marker on the page than he ever did before. He is very intent on coloring. This is actually a sticker book.
