Next we went to Manny's home. Even though Manny passed away last winter, we all still had lots of good memories of her and got to get together a few times to celebrate her life.
The home was built by Jay's Grandpa Sarge. Jay had a fun time showing me the quality work on the home. Manny had done a bunch of gardening in years past. While I mostly played with the kids and washed some windows, Jay spent hours partially taming the back porch and back yard. The wild growth of so many cool things, like blackberry bushes and other things, had grown over the back porch, and Jay cut it down and then cut a path through the yard. Jay was right -- the path was
loved by the kids. The adults appreciated that he had purposefully led to black berry picking areas. There was also a Christmas tree and grape vines growing like crazy in the backyard. Portland is very different than Tucson!
Jay and I ended up staying 2 nights here. As the pregnant woman, I got the extra twin bed and Jay got the couch. Sorry, Jay!
Jay's mom had located many baby clothes and blankets for our upcoming kid. That's pretty exciting.

22 Weeks along. It's a much prettier picture taken in Manny's front yard than in my house with the orange walls. |

| Seth found a wagon and played with it for hours. Who says high tech toys are the best? |

| You wouldn't believe how much Jay cut down to find that path |
